Marijuana Tolerance Break – Should You Take One?

marijuana tolerance break

There are a number of different reasons why consumers take a marijuana tolerance break. One of the most common reasons for taking a smoking break is that you want to get a job. Your new employer might want you to take a drug test before hiring you. If this happens you will need to take a break from smoking marijuana for a short period of time.

Another reason for taking a cannabis tolerance break is that you might have been ordered by the court and forced into a local rehab or something similar. When this happens you have no choice but to go on a marijuana break for a while or until your troubles are over.

The third reason is what many cannabis smokers call a “marijuana tolerance break”. It’s a good idea to take a break like this if you do not get as high as you used to. Even veteran marijuana smokers do this on occasion to increase the high they get when they smoke again for the first time.

Veteran Smokers have had a Marijuana Tolerance Break at some point

Even cannabis veterans or people that smoke everyday have been there at some point in their lives. If you smoke a lot it is inevitable that eventually you will get to a point where you don’t get a high anymore. It actually feels like no matter what you do you can’t get super stoned anymore, regardless of the quality of cannabis you consume. Remember it’s not the nug or oil quality you have been using. You have built up tolerance to marijuana and need to go on a tolerance break.

Dabs is a perfect example of this. Most people who smoke dabs daily and consume large amounts complain that they don’t get high like they used to back in the day. They also say that there is absolutely no way they could get high off marijuana bud anymore. It doesn’t matter what strain of cannabis they use.

Consider taking a marijuana tolerance break

If this sounds like you, then maybe taking a weed tolerance break is something you should consider doing for a while. Wait it out for a while until your tolerance level returns to normal. It will be worth it, trust me.

I know that it’s difficult to even consider not smoking weed for a few days and that the whole idea sounds crazy but it does work. Personally I smoke a ton of weed. It helps me deal with stupid people all day. It also helps relax me after a long day and puts me to sleep at night.

Trust me, if you can maintain a few days without smoking, you will reap the reward. I have been smoking for just over 20 years now and have taken many tolerance breaks over the years. The feeling you get when you first smoke after the break is like the first time you got high.

How long of a marijuana tolerance break

The length of the marijuana tolerance break will depend on the person. Some people can go for longer and some people can only manage a few days. If you are one of those marijuana smokers who smoke like a broken chimney, then you might want to consider taking a few weeks off to bring your tolerance levels back down.

Some people work all day and cant consume cannabis during the day. If you fit into this category then a couple of days without smoking should be more than enough to bring your marijuana tolerance back down.

Another thing to consider is that once you start smoking again you tolerance towards marijuana will increase again over time. When this happens you will need to repeat the process to bring your levels down.
